About the role

You will lead development of Traffic Racer Open World, our live open-world racing game on iOS and Android, with millions of players. You'll own the technology (architecture, performance, builds and releases, technical planning) and lead the development team. This is a hands-on role: expect to spend roughly a third to half of your time writing and reviewing code and solving the hardest problems yourself. You'll work directly with company leadership: they set the product priorities, and you decide how they get built.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical direction of the game: architecture, tech stack and the technical roadmap.
  • Lead, hire and grow the development team.
  • Turn product priorities into technical plans, estimates and a realistic release schedule.
  • Keep the game fast and stable on real devices, including low-end Android phones.
  • Own the build and release process for iOS and Android, including store requirements.
  • Set code quality standards: code review, testing and documentation.
  • Write code and solve the hardest technical problems yourself.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional Unity (C#) development.
  • Shipped at least two mobile free-to-play games on iOS and Android, and supported them as live games after launch.
  • Experience leading development teams, including senior developers: architecture decisions, code review, planning and hiring.
  • Deep knowledge of mobile performance, including on low-end devices: profiling, memory and IL2CPP.
  • Hands-on experience with native iOS and Android builds (Xcode, Gradle) and integrating third-party SDKs.
  • Clear written communication: you can write a technical plan that both the team and leadership understand.
  • Good English (spoken and written): it's our working language.

Nice to have

  • Experience with racing or open-world games, or vehicle physics.
  • Real-time multiplayer experience (Photon or similar).
  • Experience with ad mediation, in-app purchases, analytics and A/B testing.
  • Experience using AI coding tools in daily work, with careful review of their output.
  • Russian: many on our team and many of our players speak it.

What we offer

  • Paid annual leave.
  • Lead the development of a live game played by millions.
  • Real ownership: you make the technical decisions and help build the team.
  • Work directly with company leadership, with no layers of management in between.
  • Hard, interesting problems: performance, multiplayer, live operations and scale.
  • Salary and other terms are discussed during the hiring process.
